Blue Skin Disorder

Someone who suffers from it demonstrates a blue discoloration of the skin, especially, the fingernails and toenails.

The chief reason for the development of this disorder is that the body fails to consume and store the required amount of oxygen. An insufficiency of oxygen turns the nails and skin blue. When the number of RBCs in the body are few; and the cells do not hold adequate amount of oxygen, then the consequence is the development of the blue skin disorder, or cyanosis.
By and large cyanosis afflicts those who are diagnosed with pulmonary diseases. Then again, some people develop cyanosis if they are exposed to cold for a prolonged period of time. Cardiovascular diseases, particularly Reynaud's Syndrome also causes the blue skin disorder.
Blue Skin Disorder is a medical condition that is not dangerous or life threatening; nonetheless, it tends to leave long and lasting effects on the body.
